In this course, students will cover the beliefs of Islam and their premise. They will also have the contemporary objections on Islamic beliefs posed by post modern societies addressed and answered. This will be followed by studying the various dimensions of ritual purification and ritual prayer along with being given practical training on how to perform them with efficiency.

- Ritual Ablution, Practical Demonstrations of Ablution & Cleaning
- The Prayer, Conditions of Prayer (Fardh, Wajib, Sunnah, Nafl)
- Prayer Demonstrated and Practiced
- Actions of Prayer, Disliked & Liked, Invalidations of Prayer and the Sunnah

The course is 12 lessons. Saturdays and Sundays starting from Sept 14. 10am to 12pm

The entire program is 12 sessions long. $100 fee covers all sessions plus in-class materials.
Yes. This is one of three courses in the Islamic Essentials certificate. They can be taken individually throughout the year.
Yes a final test is done at the end.
A private class recording is provided to you in case you miss the class. We encourage all students to participate weekly.

Instructor
Shaykh Sohaib Zuberi
Sheikh Sohaib Saeed Zuberi completed his hifz while studying Business economics at York University.
After graduating from the university, he completed a course in management from Cornell University and teaching certification from Cambridge University. Then he went to pursue Islamic sciences at Al-Rashid Islamic Institute (Cornwall medressa). After completing the rigorous 7 year aalim program,he started doing iftaa (post graduate degree in Islamic jurisprudence) at Jamia Qasim ul Uloom, Scarborough.
Alhumdulillah, currently he’s pursuing his iftaa while working full time for Islamic Relief as major gifts manager. He is also the imam of Masjid Ibrahim and an instructor at Mathabah Institute and give khutbas in different masajids across GTA. He also teaches Islamic courses at universities and host Youth and children programs.
